Videocon Telecom Targets Rs 10,000 Crore Revenue From New Business

mobile operator Videocon Telecom on Thursday said it objectives to generate a revenue of Rs 10,000 crore by means of 2020 from its newly carved out vertical of rising businesses.

The company said it will be making investments in non-spectrum businesses going forward because the existence of smaller gamers like it’s miles very quick inside the GSM telecom enterprise.

“GSM is a restricted game. we can not bid for spectrum in upcoming public sale this is truely clean,” Videocon Telecom director and leader government Arvind Bali told PTI at the cell global Congress right here.

Bali brought the employer will make all its investments into non-spectrum agencies, ordinarily into agency facet or new products that are extra in sync with different groups of Videocon institution.

He similarly said it has emerge as clear that for a smaller player like it, there may be very constrained existence in GSM and it will likely be very tough.

“we are going to run our operations in GSM and in any respect investment has long gone through, we will try and monetise that and look for possibilities like spectrum sharing in circles like Haryana with partners,” Mr Bali stated.

Videocon Telecom has already bought its spectrum in two service regions of Gujarat and UP (West) for Rs three,310 crore. The organization had received spectrum in six circles – UP East, UP West, Bihar, Gujarat, MP and Haryana in the 2012 auctions for Rs 2,221.forty four crore.

also the organisation is in talks with some operators for spectrum trading in UP (East) and Bihar circles.

Bali said to strengthen its non-spectrum enterprise, it’s also looking at obtaining smaller businesses within the subject of data era and manufacturing and many others.
